Aliciah faced challenges head-on, earning her high school degree through a GED program while working tirelessly to support her growing family. Balancing two jobs – in a bustling warehouse and as a housekeeper in a hotel – she exemplified resilience and a relentless work ethic.

Aliciah’s four children, ranging in age from 14 to 19, are her greatest motivation. Fueled by her desire to leave a lasting legacy for them, she decided to take the courageous step of breaking free from the cycle of renting and invest in a home of her own. Two of her children will share in her triumph as they step into their new Dayton Habitat home together.

For Aliciah, homeownership is more than a roof over her family’s heads; it’s a place for dreams to grow. With aspirations as unique as her daughters – Kiariah’s dream of becoming a veterinarian and Ja-Naye’s vision of owning her own hair salon – Aliciah believes that stability is the key to unlocking their potential. Having a yard to tend and a community to be part of represents a profound shift from mere survival to thriving.
