Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton Committees
Development Committee- This committee assists the Development Director in creating fundraising plans with the goal of increasing overall donations and acquiring more individual and corporate donors.
Family Selection Committee- This committee assists in determining the best candidates to accept into our homeownership program. The committee helps to identify prospective families, reviews applications and interviews applicants. Committee members also help to develop structure and set parameters within the homeownership program and the Family Services Department.
Family Support Committee- This committee helps guide Partner Families through the process of earning the opportunity to purchase a Habitat for Humanity home. The committee assesses the progress of our families and makes recommendations regarding their status in the partner family program. The committee also works directly with our Partner Families and provide support throughout the sweat equity and educational process.
Field Operations Committee- This committee develops the affiliate’s standardized house plans and advises on all phases of construction. This committee includes design, construction, and real estate professionals and people with knowledge of building materials, practices and codes. The committee is responsible for identifying and acquiring property for new construction and renovation throughout Clark, Greene, and Montgomery Counties.
Finance Committee- This committee supports the Finance Director in monitoring the fiscal operation of Habitat of Greater Dayton and planning for its future. Members include active and retired business people, including CPAs, accountants, bankers, and corporate executives.
Gala Committee- This committee helps to plan and implement our annual fundraising gala. Members scout locations, acquire silent auctions items, secure event sponsors, select theme, decorate, and more.
Marketing Committee- This committee is comprised of marketing professionals who assist in creating marketing plans and provide valuable insight to marketing and design projects.
ReStore Committee- This committee assists the ReStore Director with increasing ReStore productivity, donation procurement, and profitability.
Volunteer Engagement Committee- This committee assists with volunteer recruitment, helps plan and execute the annual volunteer recognition event, and works to improve the Habitat volunteer experience. Members also assists with special projects such as the Gala, AmeriCorps, and visiting mission trip groups.
Women Build Committee- This committee works to raise funding and recruit volunteers for our annual Women Build project. Members are active our community, enjoy event planning, can recruit volunteers, secure sponsorships, and have a passion for supporting women.
