In addition to building homes, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton builds hope through critical repairs. Betty has lived in her home for nearly 65 years, but with her fixed income, she could not afford the mounting list of repairs she needed to age in place safely with her husband.

After her husband fell in their bathroom, Betty was referred to Dayton Habitat for help. Because of generous donors, Betty’s bathtub was replaced with a walk-in shower, and a ramp was installed outside their home. Now, the two 89-year-olds can continue to live in their home.
