Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton proudly invites the community to celebrate the dedication of their Veterans Build. The ceremony will take place on Friday, June 13, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 33 N Perry St, Vandalia OH 45377.
Through the dedicated efforts of volunteers, donors, and other community supporters, Len, Alicia, Ben, and Gabby will soon move into their new home in Vandalia. Homeownership has been a long-standing dream for Len and Alicia, a dream that—until recently—felt like it might never be realized. Now, thanks to their commitment, resilience, and Dayton Habitat's program, their family will have a safe and stable home.
Through Habitat’s unique homeownership model, families like Len and Alicia's achieve homeownership by purchasing their homes with a 0% interest mortgage. This program also empowers future homeowners to complete homeownership courses and contribute a minimum of 275 “sweat equity” volunteer hours. For Len, Alicia, and their children, the Veterans Build offers the chance to establish roots in a supportive community where they can cook healthy meals and make family memories.
