Silfex, a Lam Research company, today announced a partnership with Habitat for Humanity to sponsor two home builds in Clark and Preble counties, reinforcing the company's commitment to community investment, employee volunteerism and supporting local families.
The partnership includes sponsorship of one home build in Springfield and one home build in Eaton. The multi-month initiative will provide opportunities for Silfex employees to volunteer alongside Habitat for Humanity while helping local families work toward homeownership.
As the exclusive corporate sponsor for both projects, Silfex's support will help Habitat for Humanity advance its mission of building safe, affordable housing and stronger communities throughout the region. Employees will be encouraged to participate in hands-on volunteer opportunities throughout the construction process.
"Silfex is proud to sponsor these Habitat for Humanity projects in the communities where our employees live and work," said Rob Skrobak, Vice President & General Manager of Silfex. "As a Lam Research company, we're committed not only to advancing technology, but also to investing in people and communities. We're excited to work alongside Habitat for Humanity and our employees to help local families achieve homeownership."
The home builds are scheduled to begin in September, with volunteer opportunities available to Silfex employees throughout the projects. Silfex and Lam Research have been frequent supporters of Habitat for Humanity in the past several years with grant funding from the Lam Foundation.
"Habitat for Humanity depends on partnerships with organizations that are committed to making a difference in their communities," said Norm Miozzi, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton. "We are grateful for Silfex's investment and the many employees who will contribute their time and talents to help local families build strength, stability and self-reliance through homeownership."
Throughout the project, Silfex will share updates highlighting construction milestones, employee volunteer experiences, and the impact of the partnership on local families and communities.
