For Jocelyn, helping others has always come naturally. As a case worker, she spends her days supporting members of her community through life’s challenges. Soon, after three years of determination and hard work, she will celebrate a milestone of her own by purchasing a Habitat for Humanity home with a 0% interest mortgage. 

As a single mother of four children, ages 4 to 10, Jocelyn has always dreamed of giving her family something they have never truly had—a place that feels like home. While her current living situation has provided shelter, she longs for a home where her children can put down roots, create traditions, and build memories that will last for generations. 

Throughout her homeownership journey, Jocelyn has embraced every opportunity to learn. She especially enjoyed Habitat’s homeownership classes, where she gained practical skills in credit management, home maintenance, and more. While becoming a homeowner feels both exciting and intimidating, Jocelyn is committed to doing it the right way. 

For Jocelyn, homeownership represents far more than owning a house. The financial stability of an affordable mortgage will allow her to continue investing in her future, including returning to school to complete her degree. More importantly, it creates the opportunity to build generational wealth and leave a lasting legacy for her children.
