Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton Ranked 27th Nationally for Families Served

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton is proud to announce it has been ranked 27th in the nation for families served during fiscal year 2025, according to newly released rankings from Habitat for Humanity International.

The national rankings evaluated the performance of the 924 Habitat affiliates across the United States, measuring the total number of families served through new home construction, home recycling/rehabs, and critical repair programs.

In fiscal year 2025, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton served 111 families across Montgomery, Clark, and Greene counties, reflecting the affiliate’s continued commitment to providing safe, affordable housing solutions in the local community.

Ohio as a whole also performed strongly compared to other states, ranking 6th nationally in new home construction and 4th in critical home repairs. In addition to Greater Dayton, other Ohio affiliates ranked in the national top 30 include Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cleveland.

Habitat for Humanity works toward a vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Through its homeownership program, qualifying families partner with Habitat to purchase an affordable home financed with a low-interest mortgage. Habitat’s critical repair program helps existing homeowners complete necessary repairs that improve safety, accessibility, and long-term stability—allowing families to remain in their homes and communities for years to come.
